The 2/95th Rifles have been established
for 10 years and has become highly respected, not only by other
Napoleonic groups but by the re-enacting community in general. This
is achieved by the high standard and commitment set by the unit
members. We believe that our heritage is something to be proud of
and the 2nd 95th Rifles try to honor the memory of those whom we
portray. Through this hobby we fulfill our interest in history, both
military and socially.
Our aim is to portray the life of a British Soldier whist on active
service during the Napoleonic Wars. Along with his wife and family
showing how they would have lived, ate and endured the hardships of
campaign.
We are always interested to hear from people who share a similar
vision, are willing to experience what life was like, and to develop
any skills they may have and to learn new ones. This is an ideal
hobby in which the whole family can take part; also to recreate the
life and times of a by-gone age, whilst not forgetting to enjoy
ourselves.
