We portray the 5th
battalion 60th Royal American (Rifles), both in battle re-enactment
and living history for our own enjoyment and for public
entertainment. We have approval from the King's Royal Rifle Corps
and the Peninsula Barracks Museum in Winchester. The 5th btn was
added to the regiment by an "Act of Parliament", in December 1797
and was formed in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. During the brief 20
years history that the 5th btn existed, it was most active during
the war in the peninsula. |
