The French Brigade of the Napoleonic Association consists of three elements: Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery. The Command element is small comprising only the Brigade Commander and up to three aides de camp.
The cavalry is 1er Regiment de Chasseurs à Cheval/3eme Hussards and the artillery is foot, provided by La Garde Imperiale. The infantry has three line regiments, one light and two heavy, these being the 30eme, the 45eme and the 85eme. In addition there is a Battalion of Grenadiers of the Garde.
It is tactical policy that the Brigade can deploy and manoeuvre not only in their designated unit formations, but also in close or open order as the situation demands. It is also policy that the rank structure is minimalist, the number of officers reflecting the number of units and NCOs being found appointed by the unit commanders only as required for the effective command and control of the unit. All Officers are also exercised in command at Brigade level.

Come and support the Emperor in his fight against the tyranny of the old order of Crowned Heads of Europe. Help him to achieve European hegemony and a new order based upon liberte, egalite, and fraternity.
We recreate life within Napoleon’s Revolutionary and La Grande Armees, whether you want to be an ordinary soldier, a dashing cavalryman, an artilleryman, or cantinierre come and join us. We take part in events both within the UK and abroad. We have a wide range of units portraying Guard and Line Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, and Camp Followers. Many of our units have family groups within them and all units are able to support you in obtaining kit and accoutrements.
